Cheers to 2018!
I rang in the new year with family, playing games, watching movies, and painfully waiting for the clock to strike twelve. Midnight FINALLY hit, we clanked our glasses and then we all scurried off to hit the pillow hard with the goal of sleeping in.
I woke up at 9AM (majorly sleeping in in my book), grabbed a cup of coffee (spiked with Irish Cream of course) and headed back to bed to binge watch Sex and the City. The rest of the family is off in their own corners of the You Tubing, playing video games, or watching football. I love this and can’t think of anything I would rather do on this very cold sub zero temperature day.
A quote from Clark W. Griswold is the perfect way for me to sum up 2017
“Hallelujah! Holy Shit! Where’s the Tylenol?”
I am reflecting on 2017 and what a great year it was. I am floored how fast 365 days came and went. It was a whirlwind! It was filled with a lot of laughs, great friends, and LOTS of hockey! I had a lot of several first time experiences like shooting a gun, a first family vacation, and finally getting a passport and a mammogram. We had some heartbreak as well with loved ones getting devastating diagnoses and saying goodbye to my beloved grandmother. But overall it was a great year.
I am thankful for all of my friends and family. I am looking forward to what 2018 has to bring. I am hoping for it to be the best on yet!
